We have been Coolsculpting at Appalachian Spring Dermatology for over a year now, and the excellent results keep coming! In January, we started the new year with our new endeavor #YourBestYou. I envisioned this as a way to keep our cosmetic offerings at Appalachian Spring moving in a healthy direction. With media and advertising, it is so easy to get bogged down in a comparison trap that is unhealthy but all too familiar.
Our #yourbestyou Facebook page is where I share encouraging thoughts, videos, and more! I encourage you to join us as we all journey to #yourbestyou in every aspect of life – physical, emotional, and spiritual.
In January, we also began our in-house Coolsculpting promotion EAT WELL, GET FIT, SPOT REDUCE! Understanding that Coolsculpting only addresses one part of our physical appearance, we joined forces with other local businesses for a more well-rounded approach. Those who book a Coolsculpting package receive a complimentary consultation with Theresa Hill of Eat Well LLC as well as a monthly membership at Fairmont Fitness.
We have continued to encourage patients to return for follow up photos to monitor their progress. At follow up visits, we have begun offering a complimentary Red Light LED treatment to improve skin tightening, and we continue to provide an inspiring book to complement their journey. The two books we often recommend are Thin Within by Judy Halliday and The One Minute Workout by Martin Gibala, two of my personal favorites.
Below is one of my favorite testimonials from our patients. If you are inspired, as I am, consider the current Coolsculpting promotion offered through Brilliant Distinctions, $1000 off eight treatments. It is a fantastic but short-lived offer! Download your coupon by June 30th and complete your treatment by July 31st.
“I am a 67-year-old female. I have cellulite and saggy skin from age and years of yo-yo dieting. I have considered cosmetic surgery to lift and tighten but thought I would try CoolSculpting first. My goal was to improve the way my clothes fit on my lower body. I have always had large thighs. Recently, I noticed my waist had also disappeared. So, I had cool sculpting on my upper thighs and back waist. At the same time, I started a low carb eating plan and began walking 3 to 5 miles daily.
After about four months, I am down almost two sizes in slacks and skirts. Also, I am down one size in tops. My clothes fit so much better. I threw my old jeans away and replaced them with skinny jeans. I look in the mirror, and I see clean lines and no bulges that make me look out of proportion. I have also lost about 10 pounds and firmed up. On Thanksgiving, we went out for dinner. It was a very nice restaurant, so I dressed up. At the end of the meal, our server leaned over and said, ‘You look stunning.’
So, I believe Cool Sculpting is a good investment if you want to improve your appearance. It is not magic. To maximize results, you will need to help the procedure out with diet and exercise. The reality is that I am still 67 years old. Coolsculpting can’t change that. I still have cellulite and skin that sags. Only surgery will help that. But, I rock a pair of jeans and boots or a nice skirt and high heels. And my clothes hang smoothly on my body. I like the way I look again. And once in a while, someone still thinks I am stunning.”
