What is a blog?
“a regularly updated website or web page, typically one run by an individual or small group, that is written in an informal or conversational style.”
That is exactly what I intend for my blog. Every day when seeing patients, I tend to talk about a number of topics. I hope to use this blog to discuss and address things as I do with patients every day in a conversational manner. Of course as the disclaimer at the bottom of our site notes…
Like what???
-Education about skin conditions and medical treatment options and directing patients to resources available in print and online.
-Discussion about new cosmetic procedures and trends from a dermatologist’s perspective. Everyone from makeup salespersons, door to door salespersons and TV personalities are offering you their opinion. This will be mine – from a dermatologist’s perspective, with very little bias or incentive on my part to direct you to buy a certain product or procedure.
-Education on trendy or seasonal skin care techniques and tips: sunscreen, moisturizers, self-tanners and much more.
-Current research and news topics of dermatologic interest, including those on social media.
-Random things. Some things are just too wonderful to not share. I often find myself raving with patients about a book, movie, recent vacation or day trip, gardening finds, great recipe, restaurant, or shopping venue. It is amazing what we talk about in our “visit”. This is a place to refer to for the randomness of conversation. I will surprise you with this one.
