Beth’s Favorite Things
Remember Oprah’s Favorite Things? I used to tape it, watch it, and dream of being in the audience. This post is my version: Beth’s favorite things, full of things that we DO NOT sell in the Spring Boutique. Also, I am trying to not repeat favorite things from my prior posts on my Morning Routine, Flip Flop Feet, and What’s in My Bag? We sell tons of things that I LOVE in the Spring Boutique, but we can’t sell everything. So if I had a huge store, this is just part of what I’d have to share. Warning: not all of them are Dermatology related, but hopefully you’ll get some ideas for the holiday season gift-giving.
Anastasia Brow Kit – About 15 years ago, I saw Anastasia’s founder on TV, purchased this kit and never looked back. I was a disastrous tweezer prior to this brow kit. Once the Microblading fad passes, this will keep those beautiful brows naturally shaped well.
Hershey’s Triple Chocolate Brownie Mix – What? A dermatologist recommending chocolate? This brownie mix is the best. When pregnant with Ella (now 10), I developed an intense love for chocolate and in particular, these brownies. I make them WAY TOO OFTEN.
Spanx – As a follow up to my Brownie obsession… Spanx. Don’t give these to anyone; buy them for yourself. Don’t waste money offending someone by giving them Spanx. Just wear them and make everyone wonder why you look so smooth. Coolsculpting has to end somewhere and when it does… Spanx. In addition to wearing Spanx to look good, they feel great under summer dresses and skirts.
Soma Cool Nights Pajamas – I love wearing real pajamas. They look pretty, classy, and presentable if you have last-minute company. These are my favorites for about ten years now. They look good, feel smooth on the skin, and keep you feeling cool at night.
All Things Disney, but especially these candles by Lux Illume – These are amazing candles. They burn long and clean and smell like all of my favorite Disney places and attractions. Even better, the packaging. Yes, I said packaging. Even when you order these for regular use, they come beautifully and expertly gift wrapped with coordinating ribbon. I have been known to open them one at a time when I need a little something special to brighten my day.
Coolibar Clothing – I love the tunic length swim tops from Coolibar. I put these tops in the expensive but worth it category, and I have coupons I can give out at the office. I wear these as much as possible in the summer – at the beach, in the pool, working in the yard, hiking, picnics you name it. I always get asked if I am hot. No, I’m cool because of Coolibar, and I’m protecting my skin while I’m at it.
All things Pioneer Woman – I love the show, her recipes, her cookbooks, and her tableware. I’m hard-pressed to find much I don’t like. She has a new cookbook out, so that will be sure to be on my Christmas list. I can make one of her recipes to go with my Pioneer Woman Christmas Dishes and Placemats.
So, if you see me this holiday season, I’ll be the one wearing some combination of Spanx, Coolibar and Soma, have my eyebrows done and be eating brownies and some delicious Pioneer Woman recipe.
